WHAT: It’s a-boat time to escape the winter cold and get a taste of summer. The51st Annual Discover® Boating Minneapolis Boat Show, in partnership with Progressive® Insurance, opens today and runs through Sunday, transforming the Minneapolis Convention Center into a boater’s paradise and featuring more than 700 new boats and big deals to shop for your dream boat.
On opening day, in partnership with Select Minneapolis GMC Dealers, the boat show is hosting its first Coat Drive benefiting Joseph’s Coat Minnesota. Attendees that donate a new or gently used coat at the show office (Lobby D) will receive a FREE ticket to the show.
From pontoons to powerboats, to fishing boats and personal watercraft, the weekend will offer both seasoned captains and boating newcomers the chance to see, shop and explore the best product on the market while enjoying unbeatable deals and incentives.
A family-friendly, interactive experience fit for adventure-seekers of all ages, the boat show also featured nautical entertainment and free educational seminars with industry experts. Highlights include a Classic and Antique Boat Display, the Land of 10,000 Lakes featuring live music and boat bites, and a fan-favorite tradition: a Baggo Tournament offering attendees the chance to with a brand new Sea-Doo PWC. Free seminars from industry experts will cover topics for boaters of every experience level.
Tickets must be purchased online at www.minneapolisboatshow.com. Children ages 12 and under and all active military personnel with proof of ID will receive free entry.
