Highlights of the 2019 boat show:
  • NEW! Attendees can get a preview of summer fun at the Twin Cities Beach Bash featuring a display of past winners of the Milk Carton Boat Race and an all-new, marine-themed Sandcastle. Children are invited to make their own milk carton boats or help with creating the sand sculpture.
  • NEW! Kids can enjoy the showmore than ever before with the new Discover-A-Boat scavenger hunt. Little skippers are invited to explore the show floor, navigating the Discover-A-Boat map to find recreational boats of all kinds. Participants can hand in their completed maps for prizes, while supplies last.
  • Returning to the show is a fan favorite, the America’s Boating Club Boating Skills Virtual Trainer, part of the Progressive Boat Club, where attendees can test their nautical know-how in an immersive boating experience. Visitors can learn how to maneuver a boat through a simulated trip and practice docking, pivot turns, stopping and more, using a real steering wheel and Mercury throttle.
  • The always popular annual Antique & Classic Boat Display, presented by the Bob Speltz Land-O-Lakes chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society, returns this year with a new selection of vintage boats and watercraft that showcase one of America’s favorite pastimes and the splendor of marine craftsmanship from years gone by.
  • When it’s time to take a break, the Island Lifestyle Experience delivers a tropical oasis for attendees to put up their feet and relax, enjoy refreshments and listen to live music.
  • Winners of the 2019 Minneapolis Innovation Awards, which honor manufacturers who have released the best new products in the boating industry, will be featured throughout the show, and are chosen on Wednesday, January 23 during the show’s “Sneak Preview” night.
